Increase web traffic Increase web traffic
I’m going to give you a site that will increase web traffic and also get backlinks to your site. It’s called Blog Carnivals
Think of blog carnivals as a type of blog event. It is similar to a magazine in that it is targeted to a niche, and is where you can submit your blogs for publishing. For example, say i organize a carnival, i will go onto www.blogcarnival.com/bc , and post details of my the types of blog i need. I am therefore asking readers to submit their relevant blogs for inclusion in an upcoming edition.
Blogs are generally edited and annotated with links back to your page and serve as magazines within blogosphere and is a great way to increase your exposure and also generate links to your site. I submit all my blogs and 80% of them have been accepted
So here is how i do it:
Step 1 - Visit a blog carnival
I use www.blogcarnival.com/bc to submit my blogs. To submit your blog, you will need to click on the hyperlink below Blog Carnival Index . You will find this situated on the right hand side in the header

Step 2 - Search for a relevant carnival that hasn’t finished
To submit your blog, you need to select a carnival that is accepting submissions. Carnivals that are accepting submissions are the ones that have a date in the “next edition” column like in the example below

There are two ways to search for relevant carnivals.
You can either put do a search by inputting your keyword into the search field and selecting your category
OR
The way i prefer is by rearranging the order of the “next edition” tab. The reason i like doing it this way is so i don’t miss any results. Simple click on the arrows next to ‘next edition’ and this will arrange the carnivals by those that are accepting and those that aren’t. Click on the posts that sound relevant to your blog. Or as i prefer, right click your mouse and click on ‘open it in a new tab’ so you can submit to many carnivals without having to hit back.
Step 4 - Check the relevance
If your blog post is not relevant then it quite simply won’t get accepted so save yourself time and read the description. If you have found the right carnival then click on “submit your blog article to this carnival” which is a orange colored button above the description on the right
Step 5 - Grab Your Permalink and fill in the details
You will need the permalink of your blog post. A permalink is the actual address of your blog post. To get the permalink click on the blog you want to submit and copy the permalink from your browsers address bar. Once you have copied the address, paste it into the Permalink URL field. Blogcarnival will then automically search your blog and retrieve the title
Fill out the rest of the form and select the appropriate category (if applicable), type the captcha code and hit submit!
One final note, although not necessary i would use the remarks field to convince the carnival organiser to submit your blog. I have increased my success rate by telling the author why my blog is relevant to his/her carnival and how it would benefit there readers
So submitting to blog carnival is as simple as that!
You can look forward to a targeted increase in web traffic from these carnivals
