YouTube originally started as a personal video sharing service, and has since grown into an entertainment and information destination with people watching more than 70 million videos on the site daily. During the January to May 2007.. traffic to youtube was estimated to have increased by 70%. This put Youtube 2nd ahead of Google as the most visited webpage in the world.

Alot of that growth is put down to youtube marketing… that is the number of people using youtube to promote their products. Should this turn your off? Absolutely NOT! Because one of the keys to increase web traffic is to put your site in proximity to your target audience

With the proven strategies in this blog you can increase web traffic to your site using youtube. The question you will need to ask yourself is “how do you create a point of difference Youtube, so that your video ranks high in its keywords, so that it will increase the number of exposures it will receive and therefore increase web traffic to your website”?

So here are the steps to creating a point of difference
Step One - Create a youtube account

For those that don’t have a an account already click here . If you are wondering what to use as your username… well here is an opportunity to increase your brand recognition.. so i suggest using your brand name! For example i use traffic2mypage on all blog replies and usernames.

Step Two - Get Yourself a logo

Now your probably wondering how a logo will increase your web traffic? Well you can create a profile on youtube.. but not the ordinary account most people use. You will want to upgrade your account to a directors profile so you modify the look of the page consistent to your website. So do you have a logo? Step Three - Create and Edit Your video

Use your camcorder, mobile phone, web-cam, digital camera and any other device that takes video or audio recording. Alternatively, if you have a instructional presentation that requires you to use slides, or if you are demonstrating a software that you want to combine with audio then use Camtasia which will record of what you are doing on your screen
